Family practice was my choice of specialty because it gave me the opportunity to be on the front line serving people with a wide range of health care needs. There’s something I love in every aspect of medicine. I was inspired by both my childhood family doctor and by a family doctor in the community whom I had the privilege of shadowing as an undergraduate. I knew from early on that I wanted to be a doctor, and my parents were always encouraging.
